Trash Disposal Procedures -Regarding Trash Disposal-

Trash must be disposed of according to type and following the rules of individual areas. Please honor the rules and dispose of trash at the designated station before 8 A.M.

Cautionary Items
-Collection areas are designated for batteries, milk cartons and PET bottles in Tsubame and batteries and PET bottles in Yoshida. Additionally, Yoshida district has a special collection station for paper and fabric recyclables.

-Designated bags are available for purchase at grocery stores, convenience stores, etc. and should be purchased within your district.

Oversized trash cannot be disposed of at the trash station.
Furniture, bedding, or large electronics (not covered under "home appliance recyclables and personal computers," etc. are called "oversized" and cannot be disposed of at the trash station. Please contact the agent in your district regarding collection. Fees vary depending on the item.

Home appliance recyclables cannot be disposed of at the trash station.
Air conditioners, TV sets, refrigerators/freezers, and washing machines are home appliance recyclables. Because you cannot dispose of them at the trash station, please use one of the following three methods of disposal:
  1. Take the item to a consumer electronics retail store for disposal.
  2. Request collection by a trash collection agent.
  3. Take the item to a designated trash collection area yourself.

You cannot dispose of personal computers at the trash station.
Personal computers must be collected by the computer manufacturer and recycled. Because you cannot dispose of the computer at the trash station, please contact the store where the computer was purchased or the computer
manufacturing company regarding disposal.
